If you live near Salt Lake City and your scouts are looking for something cool to do, check out the diving pool at Sport Chalet in West Jordan (at Jordan Landing). Every Wednesday night is “Youth Night” where scouts can learn some basics and earn the Scuba BSA award. We did this in March and planning to do it again in November. 2) Sport Chalet also offers free introductory SCUBA courses every 3rd Saturday of the month from 2-6pm. This is for families and individuals, not scout groups (minimum age limit is 10 years old)! All you need to do is bring a swim suit and a towel. Call ahead to register!
